Thomas Fawcus Married Ann Reedhead 4th June, 1775 at St. Cuthbert's Church, Bedlington, Northumberland and they had: Henry born 1775 at Bedlington; Margaret born 1777 at Bedlington; Jane 1781 at Earsden by North Shields, Northumberland; John born 1784 at Earsden by North Shields; and Mary born 1788 at Earsdon by North Shields.
Margaret Fawcus Baptised 4th May, 1777 at St. Cuthbert's Church, Bedlington, Northumberland, she married George Humphrey 11th May, 1812 at St. Hilda's Church, South Shields, Co. Durham and known children were: Margaret born 1815 at Monkwearmouth, Sunderland; Jane, born 1818 at Monkwearmouth; and John born 1820 at Monkwearmouth. Margaret died 1850 and was buried 11th December, 1850 at St. Peter's Church, Monkwearmouth, Sunderland.

FAWCUS, Captain Ernest Augustus - Croix de Guerre (Belgium) - awarded as per London Gazette dated 15 April 1918. Described as being of Newfoundland Forces and Royal Flying Corps. There may be confusion here; Public Records Office Air 1/1169/204/5/2592 has recommendation dated 22 December 1917, identifying him as being from 6th Northumberland Fusiliers, now RFC; position given as "Late Flight Commander, No.27 Squadron, RFC." The work done by this officer, both as a Flying Officer and a Flight Commander, has been excellent. He has always led his Flight with the greatest success, and has on various occasions dropped his bombs with great success.
